Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking an experienced Cash Applications Specialist for a direct-hire opportunity with a growing company in North Houston.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply and post customer payments, including ACH, wire transfers, lockbox deposits, and checks
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, short payments, deductions, and payment discrepancies
- Reconcile cash receipts to customer accounts and bank activity
- Maintain accurate customer account records and payment histories
- Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Customer Service teams to resolve payment issues
- Support month-end close activities, reporting, and account reconciliations
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
Qualifications
- 2+ years of cash applications, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience
- Experience processing high-volume transactions
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Benefits
Pay: $26-$29/per hour
